Group Head of Environmental and Social Governance (ESG), ARISE With over 25 years of professional experience, Bhavin Vyas is a seasoned expert in environmental and social governance. In his role as the Group Head of ESG at ARISE, a pan-African industrial ecosystem developer, he ensures the company's operations are sustainable and creates shared value for its stakeholders. Vyas has a detailed understanding of environmental and social risks and impacts, as well as the positive benefits and opportunities that private sector investment can generate. He has an excellent working knowledge of international financing institutions' environmental and social policies, including the World Bank's, IFC's, EBRD's, and AfDB's requirements. Prior to joining Arise, Vyas held positions at URS, ERM, Mott MacDonald, and EPC, where he gained extensive experience in social development, social safeguard auditing, disaster management, poverty reduction, urban development, resettlement planning, community development, participatory planning, livelihood studies, and migration.
